About Us
Windows, Inc. is a corporate and technical publishing company located in central Tokyo near the city's financial district. Established in January 1989*, Windows has an in-house staff of publishing professionals with long experience in writing, editing, translation, design, computer illustrating, typesetting, and printing in English, Japanese, and European languages.
*Some months prior to the announcement of the software of the same name, and definitely no relation!
Windows' president, Hunter M. Brumfield has been engaged in the writing profession for 30 years as a newspaper editorial writer, university journalism instructor, magazine columnist, technical writer and editor, and advertising/corporate copywriter. A resident of Japan for 20 years, he is active in the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan. He holds a Masters in Business Administration with a focus on finance, management, and corporate organization. Windows' key designer is Mario Redentor "DenDen" Moslares, a master at web publishing, design, and book publishing who also can be counted on to find the "right solution" for the always-evolving technical requirements raised by our clients.
Recent addition to Windows' staff includes bilingual DTP specialist Satoshi Urakawa, who is accomplished at graphic design, document production, web design, and organizational skills. Satoshi is a recent design school graduate and continues to attend evening classes in the latest techniques in computer-assisted publishing.
Together our DTP specialists and other support staff add a range of expertise to produce for our clients corporate documents, books, and web pages with world-class quality.
Attentive and personal project coordination and customer liaison are accomplished by Eiko Brumfield, the company's Managing Director. Eiko attended university in Japan and the United States and, in addition to holding a real-world "degree" from more than 19 years in the publishing business, has extensive experience working with Fortune 500 companies in both Japanese and English languages. Eiko also heads Windows' publishing unit that produced nine titles (in 24 months) of the Lonely Planet Guidebook Japanese series. Eiko also supervises a staff of freelance translators who produce high-quality work for our clients over a range of subject areas. Included are Japanese, English, all European languages, Arabic, Chinese, Korean, and others.
